Healing Hub + Interesting People

There's nothing like
connecting in person.

Hey Reader,

It's been a while; I'm only now finally emerging from the fog of pain from a hip injury that took me out for a good chunk of the summer.

Notion recently teased their upcoming Charts feature, and it's come in handy as I have been using it in my Hip Physio + Rehab dashboard (I've got early access to Charts, but they'll be releasing it very soon, don't worry!):

I created a pain diary to help me log my pain throughout the day, as well as supplements + meds, physio exercises, moods, and energy.

I managed to impress my physiotherapist when I was able to answer to answer her questions by showing her my dashboard:

I'm putting the final touches on a Notion template and video walkthrough that I'll be sharing with you as soon as the Charts feature is released. If you're working on healing from an injury, dealing with chronic pain, looking to track medication and supplements, or wanting a simple exercise tracker, the Healing Hub might be just what you need.

Stay tuned!

Interesting People

Last week I returned from Andrew Wilkinson's event, IP2 (Interesting People) in Victoria, and I have to say that I definitely met some fabulously interesting people!

I finally got to meet my longtime internet friend (and Notion Mastery student) Monica Lim and my friend Kevin Shen who runs Dream Studio Course. I even ran into Jackson who also attended the vegan culinary bootcamp I took last year!?

Being in Victoria meant that I was also able to meet in person with a number of people who weren't at the conference, but are definitely interesting!

I met up with fellow energy management-nerd Mike Vardy, course doula Emily Walker, my longtime friend and fellow entrepreneur Phil Caines, and new friend Colin Stange, who recognized me on a coffee shop patio! We had such a delightful conversation that we even met up again a second time. Hi, Colin!

I was even able to spend time with my aunt and uncle, helping them set up their business website and email.

It was a week of filling my energetic cup with soulful conversation and connection.

"You seem so energized right now," Kevin remarked, even though it was getting late after a few days of "conferencing."

I noted that living in the woods, I don't always get to be around people as much as I'd like. Events like these allow me to connect and be more extroverted, and then I can retreat back to the woods to decompress. So while I am here, I'm ready to fill my cup!!

I am so grateful that I'd made enough progress on my hip injury that I was able to make it to the event without being in pain.

Being around so many wonderful people has inspired me to consider what it would look like to run my own small in-person events here on the coast.

Not sure what it looks like yet, but I'm definitely inspired!

Speaking of interesting people... this week I am celebrating 7 years married to my life + business partner, Benjamin Borowski! I'm truly grateful that we get to do this life together. I often get asked what it's like to work with my partner, and honestly, it's awesome. We incorporated our company over 10 years ago, so we've been collaborating in a business capacity since more or less beginning of our relationship! I have many thoughts on why I think it works, but in a nutshell I'd say the biggest reason is that we have a deep respect and appreciation for our differences.

Ben and I will be in LA in October for the Second Brain summit. It would be so awesome to see you in person!

Hope you're having a slow and sunny summer.
